About the Participation

This application form is for participants who wish to have their own booth in which to exhibit and sell their publications. The use of booth types A & Z is not free.

As we receive great numbers of applications, we may decline the application based on the submitted information. Please provide us the most up-to-date and accurate information on your activities.

Submitting your application does not guarantee your participation in the fair. Please do not announce your participation until you receive our official confirmation of your participation via email.

Deadline

Application deadline is June 30th (Friday) → July 7th(Friday), and we will notify you regarding your participation by July 16th (Sunday).

Payment must be made by July 31st (Monday) 2017. 

Participation will be cancelled without exception if the payment cannot be made in time.

At the fair

The organizing committee will decide the position of booths according to the overall layout of the space. Please make sure that your booth is attended at all times during the fair. Please make sure to have enough change. Electricity outlets will not be available. Wi-Fi connection is limited at the venue. We recommend to bring your own mobile hotspot.

About INTERNATIONAL section

Since TABF 2015, we opened new section called the ‘INTERNATIONAL’ section, highlighting bookmakers who are active not only domestically but also internationally.

 

By having your booth in the INTERNATIONAL section:

  • – Exhibitor’s name and introduction will be printed in a special part of the catalogue and website.
  • – Only the section will be open longer hours at the preview, October 5th.
    Book buyers and VIP guests are invited for this exclusive hours where they can communicate with INTERNATIONAL participants, as well as browse and purchase books outside the hustle and bustle of the fair’s regular hours.

 

INTERNATIONAL section requirements

  • – You are actively working internationally.
  • – Your books are distributed internationally.
  • – You publish at least 3 titles in edition of 500 or more, every year.

 

You must fulfill at least two of three requirements above in order to be considered for the section.

Applications will be reviewed and based on your submitted information you will be notified regarding your eligibility via email.

 

Fee: Regular booth fee + 21,600 yen (including tax)

Booths

Type A

 

For publishers, bookshops, companies, artist groups and collectives, or for individual artists. Fees are based on the number of tables you wish to use. Use of walls is optional and is subject to additional fee.

 

1 Table (1,800 x 600 mm): 43,200 yen (including tax)
2 Tables (3,600 x 600 mm): 86,400 yen (including tax)
3 Tables (5,400 x 600 mm): 129,600 yen (including tax)
*Use of the wall is optional. If you’d like to layout the tables differently, please let us know.
*Table size is larger than the one in previous years, which size was 1,500 x 450 mm.

 

Options:
INTERNATIONAL section: 21,600 yen (including tax)
Wall Use per Table: 5,400 yen (Including tax) No nails/pins. Only double-sided adhesives are allowed to be used.

Accessories (2 Bookshelves and Hooks): 3,240 yen (Including tax) *Option for wall users only
Wall space where you can use accessories is limited. Please kindly understand in advance.

 

 

Type Z

 

Type Z booths are for self-publishing artists/zinesters who want to sell self-published works, if you are a gallery or a publisher please apply for Type A booth. You can apply for 1 table or 1/2 size table shared with another exhibitor. .

 

1/2 Table (750×450 mm): 21,600 yen (including tax)
1 Table (1,500×450 mm): 32,400 yen (including tax)

 

Options:

Wall space where you can use the accessories is limited. Please kindly understand in advance.
Accessories (2 Bookshelves and Hooks) Use: 3,240 yen (Including tax) *Option for wall users only.

 

 

S Booth

 

For those who are willing to use more than 4-table-space. If you are interested in the booth please send us a proposal that explain the content via email on info@tokyoartbookfair.com The fee would vary depending on the scale and content.

SUBMISSION

Applications should be sent to us by June 30th (Friday), → July 7th(Friday), 2017. If you are applying from outside of Japan and need immediate confirmation of your participation due to travel planning, please indicate this in the notes section and we will get back to you.
