THE TOKYO ART BOOK FAIR 2016
Dates: September 16th (Fri) – 19th (Mon / National Holiday)
Venue: Kyoto University of Art and Design, Tohoku University of Art and Design GAIEN CAMPUS
1-7-15 Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo ( MAP / It’s in TOKYO! )
Admission: Free
This application form is for participants who wish to have their own booth in which to exhibit and sell their publications. The use of booth types A & Z is not free. Participants for Type A booth must attend the all days of the fair, applicants for Type Z booth can choose to participate for either 2 days or 4 full days.
As we receive great numbers of applications, we may decline the application based on the submitted information. Please provide us the most up-to-date and accurate information on your activities.
Submitting your application does not guarantee your participation in the fair. Please do not announce your participation until you receive our official notification of your participation via email.
*At this year’s fair, we will not have Zine’s Mate Shop, where we accepted and sold books on consignment.
Application deadline is July 18th (Monday) and we will notify you regarding your participation by July 31st (Friday). Payment must be made by August 14th (Friday) 2016.

ご指定のテーブル数に合わせて、運営事務局がブースを配置いたします。 フェア参加期間中（１日８時間程度）、随時ブースに担当者を必ず配置ください。レジ用の電源はございませんので、金庫をお持ちの上、釣り銭を十分にご用意ください。 会場では、受付など数カ所にWiFi機器を設置しております。接続可能台数には限りがありますので、カード決済等については、モバイルルーターをお持ち頂くか、スマートフォンのテザリング機能をご利用ください。 各ブースへの電源の貸し出しは基本的に出来かねますので、あらかじめご了承ください。（ご希望の方は必ず事前に事務局までご連絡ください）
The organizing committee will decide the position of booths according to the overall layout of the space. Please make sure that your booth is attended at all times during the fair. Please make sure to have enough change. Electricity outlets will not be available. Wi-Fi connection is limited at the venue. We recommend to bring your own mobile hotspot.
About INTERNATIONAL section
Since TABF 2015, we opened new section called the ‘INTERNATIONAL’ section, highlighting bookmakers who are active not only domestically but also internationally.
By having your booth in the INTERNATIONAL section:
– Exhibitor’s name and introduction will be printed in a special part of the catalogue.
– The section will be open specially for ‘Professional Hours’. Professional Hours being two hours before the regular opening hours of the second day of the fair. Book buyers and VIP guests are invited for Professional Hours where they can communicate with INTERNATIONAL participants, as well as browse and purchase books outside the hustle and bustle of the fair’s regular hours.
INTERNATIONAL section requirements
-You are actively working internationally.
-Your books are distributed internationally.
-You publish at least 3 titles in edition of 500 or more, every year.
You must fulfill at least two of three requirements above in order to be considered for the section.
Applications will be reviewed and based on your submitted information you will be notified regarding your eligibility via email.
Fee: Regular booth fee + 21,600 yen (including tax)
Type A
For publishers, bookshops, companies, artist groups and collectives, or for individual artists. Fees are based on the number of tables you wish to use. Use of walls is optional and is subject to additional fee.
1 Table (1,500 x 450 mm): 37,800 yen (including tax)
2 Tables (3,000 x 450 mm): 75,600 yen (including tax)
3 Tables (4,500 x 450 mm): 113,400 yen (including tax)
4 Tables (6,000 x 450 mm): 151,200 yen (including tax)
*Use of the wall is optional. If you’d like to layout the tables differently, please let us know.
Options:
INTERNATIONAL section: 21,600 yen (including tax)
Additional Table (1,500 x 450 mm): 37,800 yen each (including tax)
Wall Use: 5,400 yen (Including tax) No nails/pins. Only double-sided adhesives are allowed to be used.
Wall Bookshelf (width: 750mm): 2,160 yen each (including tax)
Type Z
*Type Z is half of a Type A table shared with another exhibitor. Type Z booths are for self-publishing artists/zinesters who want to sell self-published works, if you are a gallery or a publisher please apply for Type A booth. If you are applying for Z-2a or Z-2b we may contact you to confirm/adjust your participation dates.

Z-4 21,600 yen / 4 Day Participation
Z-2a 10,800 yen / First 2 Days (16th&17th)
Z-2b 10,800 yen / Last 2 Days (18th&19th)
Z-2c 10,800 yen / Either first or last 2 days
*The fair will open only about 5-6 hours on the first day
*If you choose Z-2c, committee will inform you with the dates after your participation is confirmed.

If you are applying from outside of Japan and need immediate confirmation of your participation due to travel planning, please indicate this in the notes section and we will get back to you.
