Offline Venue

Q: What is the schedule for the Offline Venue?

Offline Venue will open for 4 days, between Thursday, 28 October – Sunday, 31 October 2021, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.

Please note that hours vary for the following dates:

Thursday, 28 October 2021, 15:30-17:45

Friday, 29 October – Sunday, 31 October 2021, 10:30-17:45

※Entry to Offline Venue is by advance timed ticket only (2 hours 15 minutes per session) and capacity is limited.

Q: How does it differ from the Online Venue?

Online Venue takes place in the virtual space, just like last year’s Virtual Art Book Fair (VABF).

The website is accessible from anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, for 10 days between Friday, 22 October 22 – Sunday, 31 October 2021. Some exhibitors will participate in both venues, online and offline. Since your time at the Offline Venue will be limited this year, we recommend that you check out the selection of art books and zines that will be available beforehand via the Online Venue. Please also note that many exhibitors from both Japan and overseas only participate in the Online Venue this year.

Online Venue

Q: What is the schedule for the Online Venue?

The Online Venue takes place on the TABF website (https://tokyoartbookfair.com) and is accessible from anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, for 10 days between Friday, 22 October 22 – Sunday, 31 October 2021.

Q: Please tell me more about the Online Venue.

Online Venue takes place in the virtual space, just like last year’s VIRTUAL ART BOOK FAIR (VABF). The exhibitors’ booths that resemble unmanned vegetable stands line up the 3D space, contrasting those of the Offline Venue. You can slide around the screen and check out the neighboring booths from where you are, similar to how you would navigate your way around the physical art book fair. You can also search for booths or register them in Favorites List, features only enjoyable in the Online Venue.
