Speakers: Fukunaga Print Co., Ltd. (a paper design, processing, and manufacturing company) × Yuta Shimoda (structural engineer specializing in architecture)
Fukunaga Print, known for collaborating with diverse creators, and origami researcher Yuta Shimoda present a Christmas tree-making workshop. In this session, you’ll create your very own three-dimensional Christmas tree by folding specially designed paper with pre-cut lines. Add patterns and decorations with stamps or pens to make a one-of-a-kind, original tree!
The shape of this tree is inspired by the tetrahedral kite conceived about 130 years ago by Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone. It’s a fascinating and unique design, where small triangles come together to form a larger structure.
No glue or scissors are needed—just folding—so even small children can safely take part. This hands-on experience, perfect for December, offers a fun way to explore the wonders of origami and geometry.
*No reservation is required for this workshop.
