Cut and paste fragments of various colors and shapes to create a one-of-a-kind book you’ve never seen before. In this workshop, you’ll take fragments (stickers) prepared by Ayame Ono and freely collage them onto a blank book (dummy book) provided by the book label DOOKS. As you proceed, the pages—and the book itself—will transform into unexpected forms.

Ayame Ono
After completing the Master’s Program in Graphic Design at Tama Art University, she has centered her practice on “Cut & Paste,” developing artworks across diverse media including design products, publications, and textiles, both in Japan and internationally. Her major solo and group exhibitions and art events include “EQUILIBRIUM” (Venice, 2019), “I Never Read” (Basel, 2021), “Re: Stone Paper Scissors” (Tokyo, 2024), and “MISCHEN / Kongo” (Tokyo / Frankfurt, 2024, 2025).

DOOKS
Founded in 2014, Dooks is an art book publisher that handles everything from design to sales. Our main priority is to showcase the artist’s work through editing and simplistic design, creating books with a sense of lightness and time. Rather than run a store, we prefer to work flexibly.
