Q. Is the time slot I select when purchasing a ticket length of my stay?

A. No, the time slot indicates your entry time only. You may stay as long as you like after entering.

Q. Are same-day tickets available?

A. A limited number of same-day tickets will be sold until 4:00 p.m. each day, or until sold out. If sold out, the updates will be posed on TABF official social media.

Q. I purchased a ticket for the wrong date. Can I change or cancel it?

A. Tickets cannot be changed, canceled, or refunded for personal reasons.
Please check your selected date carefully before completing your purchase.

Q. I purchased multiple tickets. Do we have to enter together?

A. No. If you plan to arrive separately, please distribute the tickets in advance.

Q. Can I enter after my reserved entry time?

A. Yes, entry is possible after your reserved time slot, but you may need to wait depending on the crowd.

Q. I have a disability certificate. Do I need to buy a ticket?

A. Visitors with a Disability Certificate, Ai-no-Techo, Rehabilitation Certificate, or Mental Disability Health and Welfare Certificate do not need to purchase a ticket. In addition, up to two accompanying assistants can enter free of charge. Please check in at the reception desk. Parking is also free.

Q. Can I re-enter the venue?

A. Yes, re-entry is allowed on the same day. Please get a re-entry stamp before you leave.

Q. Can I get a receipt for my ticket purchase?

A. Receipts for online tickets can be issued from My Page. For same-day tickets, receipts are available at the ticket counter upon request.

Q. Can I enter with a MOT Passport?

A. No, the MOT Passport is not valid for TABF entry. Please purchase a TABF ticket.

Q. Can I see the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo’s permanent exhibitions during TABF?

A. The museum’s permanent exhibitions will closed during the TABF period.

Q. Can I eat or drink inside the museum?

A. Eating and drinking are only allowed inside the restaurant. However, clear drinks such as water or unsweetened sparkling water are permitted in areas outside the exhibition rooms. Food and drinks are also allowed outdoors, and you can purchase them at the OUTDOOR LOUNGE.

Q. Is parking available?

A. Paid parking is available at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, but only for visitors with an advance online ticket.

Q. Can I bring gifts for exhibitors?

A. Fresh flowers are not permitted. Please also note that food and drinks cannot be consumed inside the museum.

Q. Can I enter from Kiba Park?

A. No. Entry is only through the main entrance or the underground parking entrance. The Kiba Park gate is for exit only.

Q. Are lockers available?

A. Yes, two locker areas are available inside the museum.

Q. Will it be hot inside the venue?

A. It may get warm due to crowding. Since there can be a temperature difference from outdoors, we recommend wearing layers for comfort.

Q. Can I bring an umbrella into the venue on rainy days?

A. Please place long umbrellas in the umbrella stand, to prevent exhibitors’ items from getting wet. Foldable umbrellas can be kept in your bag.

Q. Is there a smoking area?

A. There is no smoking area within the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo premises.
Smoking (including e-cigarettes and heated tobacco) is strictly prohibited anywhere on the museum grounds, as well as in nearby areas where it may disturb local residents or park visitors. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in preventing secondhand smoke.

Q. Is there a bicycle parking area?

A. Yes, bicycle parking is available on the museum premises, but spaces are limited.

Q. Can I enter with a stroller?

A. Yes, you can. However, as the venue can be crowded, we recommend leaving strollers at PLAYGROUND (B2F).

Q. Can I use the Art Library?

A. The Art Library will be closed during TABF.
