TOKYO ART BOOK FAIR: Ginza Edition
at Ginza Sony Park

The next TOKYO ART BOOK FAIR (below, TABF) will be held in July 2019, and not only is it our first event in nearly two years, but it will also be the 10th session of the event since the Fair’s inception. As a preface for the 10th TABF, we will be hosting the “TOKYO ART BOOK FAIR: Ginza Edition” at Ginza Sony Park: a month-long event beginning on Saturday, March 8th, 2019.

The TABF is a vibrant event, bringing together publishers, galleries, and artists – all who usually express themselves uniquely via printed materials – from around the world into a single venue. Over the few days the of the Fair, we see a turnout of over 20,000 visitors; it is a “festival” for art books in the truest sense of the word.

In contrast to the main TABF event, only lasting a few days, the Ginza Edition will be held for over an entire month. Up until now, we have hosted the TABF to be an annual “fireworks show” of sorts – with an abundance of stimulation and content over a short time frame. On this occasion, however, we hope to depict an experience resembling an amble through the park: true to the environment at our venue, Ginza Sony Park.

The TABF: Ginza Edition will be envisioned as a space that’s a part of our everyday lives: one that connects viewers with the artists, publishers and galleries – earnest in their daily endeavors – along with the works they’ve created.

A park is somewhere that anyone might head to in search of refreshment or inspiration: and now art books are waiting for you there, too. We invite you to enjoy this TABF: Ginza Edition at Ginza Sony Park as an opportunity to experience a new, expansive world.

We are now accepting applications for participating in the last weekend, April 13th (Sat) and 14th (Sun).
